A shooting had taken place during class in the Paalalinna School, during which the German language teacher, 56-year-old Ene Sarap received fatal injuries. No one else was injured, said police spokeswoman Tuuli Harson. There were four more pupils in the classroom when the shooting took place.
The shooter, a 15-year old boy from the school’s 9th grade, was detained by the school staff who took the weapon away from him. He did not resist and was handed over to the police. The police checked the whole school building and found nothing suspicious.
